BASIC PURPOSE: The Collateral Specialist role is a full time position focused on reviewing freight invoices, reviewing bills of lading (BOLs), and auditing paperwork and documents. This is an entry-level position with a focus on invoice processing and document verification.
WORK LOCATION, HOURS, AND PAY:
Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (some overtime may be required during these workdays).
Located at our corporate office in Memphis, TN .
Pay is around $17/hour.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The document processor is responsible for scanning, entering, and coding key data fields into various systems.
This invoice processor role is tasked with reviewing 6,000-8,000 freight invoices per week for accuracy and completeness.
Conduct bill of lading (BOL) audits and review to verify document accuracy and resolve any issues.
Communicate with freight brokers, shippers, and clients for problem resolution and research on invoices.
Audit invoices and audit documents to ensure proper processing.
This invoice verifier position ensures all invoices, rate sheets, and bills of lading (BOLs) are audited and discrepancies are identified.
Handle additional duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
1-2 years of experience in a high-volume office or fast-paced production environment.
Experience as a bank teller or invoice specialist in the transportation or banking industry is a plus.
Factoring, billing, or handling invoices experience is preferred.
Experience with accounting clerk or bookkeeping tasks is a plus.
Experience communicating with freight brokers is a plus.
Strong document review, invoice review, and data entry skills.
Must be accurate, very detailed, timely, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
10 Key experience and minimum 50 WPM typing speed.
Fast learner, self-motivated, and deadline-oriented, with the ability to adapt easily to change.
