BASIC PURPOSE: To offer students attending Central Pennsylvania Institute’s Natural Gas Compression Program a chance to work for an industry leader in Clean Energy and learn real world skills while building on the knowledge they have learned in the classroom.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under one on one supervision the intern will assist with maintenance on hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical equipment installed at CNG stations
Assists with daily maintenance of site equipment
Monitors pressures and temperatures
Maintains oil and fluid levels
Responds to service calls as required
Other duties assigned as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be currently enrolled at Central Pennsylvania Institute (CPI) in the AST Natural Gas Compression program.
Experience:
- Classroom learning experience in natural gas compression with a CAT/Ariel Emphasis
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Skills:
Hard Skills: Working knowledge of Hazmat and OSHA regulations
Soft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, data entry, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self-motivated, good time management skill, ability to multitask and excellent analytical skills
Typical Physical Demands:
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
