BASIC PURPOSE: The Digital Marketing Web Developer is responsible for the back-end design, database architecture, programming and updating of Love’s in-store digital screens and web-based applications. This individual must have a passion for and past experience in web design/development, app development, database architecture, and HTML5 as well as user experience design and conversion.
Take an active role in the development and implementation of digital projects for various web-based platforms and in-store touchscreen informational kiosks and digital screens.
Create and maintain HTML database and network deployments for in-store digital pricing display boards.
Work with business units and Digital Media Designers to conceptualize, design, and program HTML5 based interactions for use on digital touchscreen informational kiosks used in store environments.
Develop visual workflows and best practices for user experience on touchscreen and mobile devices.
Assist with content updates to Love’s web and digital properties while ensuring digital properties are optimized for speed, responsive layout, SEO, user experience, and ADA compliance.
Serve as the Product Owner for Loves.com and work alongside the Customer Experience Program Team using agile methodologies to scope, develop, test and release enhancements.
Help with debugging and troubleshooting code-related issues and defects.
Integrate historical and real-time data for an immersive user experience on digital signage throughout the Love’s network of locations.
Implement interactive campaigns created by the in-house digital creative team that support and compliment traditional marketing efforts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
4-year college degree required
3-5 years of relative experience in web programming, app development, UI/UX and creative development experience.
Design, multimedia and Sitecore or similar CMS platform backgrounds are a plus.
High proficiency and understanding of web-based programming including: HTML5, jQuery, Java, CSS, SQL, XML and various API integrations.
General IT infrastructure and networking knowledge.
Position requires a combination of operational strategy, integrated production management, digital workflow expertise, team leadership and talent development experience.
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, web-based programming languages and database integration.
Soft Skills: Strong verbal and oral communication skills, keen attention to detail, ability to multi-task, strong organization skills, flexible, good relationship and self-motivated to take on additional tasks under pressure.
Typical Physical Demands:
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
