BASIC PURPOSE : This is a unique hybrid role that requires expertise in both water systems and programming. Under the supervision of Ops Manager, the Water and Systems Programmer will be responsible for program design, implementation, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting water and Terminal infrastructure support systems.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and conduct regular inspections of water infrastructure systems, including pumps, tanks, pipelines, valves, and meters.

  • Perform expert analysis for the Reverse Osmosis Water systems at all Terminal sites and infrastructure. This will include monthly maintenance programs, daily/weekly review of operating logs and any new design platforms to enhance efficiency for cost and operation of systems.

  • Identify and diagnose water system issues and perform necessary repairs and replacements.

  • Monitor and test Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Terminal application performance to address any potential bottlenecks.

  • Monitor and analyze water system performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement programming solutions to enhance systems that control terminal processing equipment.

  • Develop and maintain databases and software applications to collect, organize, and analyze water system data.

  • Create and maintain documentation and records of water system maintenance activities, repairs, and programming solutions.

  • Monthly review of expected operating costs vs actual. Provide management with reports on variances with strategic ideas to implement cost savings.

  • Responsible for oversight of engineering solutions for DEF terminal equipment, including software enhancements, new site startups and terminal water systems.

  • Stay up to date with industry advancements and best practices in water systems, programming languages, and technologies.

  • Assist in training and mentoring terminal personnel in water system maintenance and programming tasks.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols while performing water system maintenance and programming activities.

  • Assist with new terminal startups and upgrades/repairs to terminal processing equipment as needed.

  • Ensure processing equipment systems are maintained to integrate within s4.

  • Other duties assigned as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a technical certification or associate degree in water systems, programming, or a related field.

  • Experience:

  • Proven experience in water system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:

  • Strong programming skills

  • Familiarity with terminal automation systems and relevant programs

  • Knowledge of water system infrastructure, components, and operations.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to different job sites as required.
