This position will range from $105,000 (min) to $158,000 (max).

BASIC PURPOSE : Responsible for the efficient coordination, scheduling, and supervision of CNG Mechanics performing maintenance and operation of CNG fueling stations. Responsible for critical troubleshooting and performance testing during station start-up and commissioning. Reviews the operation of site equipment to minimize unplanned downtime and identify opportunities for improvement. Prioritizes work schedules to meet operational needs and business goals according to standards and expectations. Provides direct leadership to operations field personnel. Accountable for day-to-day performance and activities of stations including third party contractor crews and service providers. Responsible for regular communication with the customer.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coach, lead and counsel field personnel in resolving work and interpersonal issues and coordinate the daily activities 24/7. Work with field personnel to complete construction activities and perform equipment repairs. Responsible for employee development.

  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance, operations, and some construction work assignments to maximize fueling operation service and reliability. Interact with others to plan, schedule, and make efficient and effective use of CNG Service Supervisors, Field Mechanics, other staff, and company resources. Responsible for the coordination of work orders with subcontractors, liaison with Project Manager, and senior management. This position requires regular involvement with CNG stations which are geographically dispersed. This will require travel overnight and work on evenings and weekends.

  • Evaluate procedures to ensure safety, training, best work practices, and standards are continually improved to maximize efficiencies. Review the operation of site equipment to minimize unplanned downtime and identify opportunities for improvement. Recommend solutions in a timely manner when field problems arise due to equipment failures or unanticipated operating conditions.

  • Ensure completion of work according to budget requirements and contracts. Document and communicate work results ensuring customers are able to fuel their vehicles by managing the maintenance and service of electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Other duties assigned as needed to include the ability to analyze P&L, O&M contracts, ETC

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent required

  • Associates or Bachlor Degree is a plus

  • Experience:

  • Formal leadership with direct reports or informal leadership within a workgroup, preferably within the CNG industry.

  • Experience with coordinating and managing work assignments and small/large scale projects.

  • Experience interpreting construction diagrams and shop drawings.

  • Advanced computer skills including the ability to enter data in electronic logbooks and proficient in Microsoft office products.

  • Experience with CNG station operations (or similar industry experience) including the maintenance and service of electrical and mechanical systems

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Hard Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Hazmat and OSHA regulations

  • Soft Skills:

  • Good written and oral communication skills, data entry, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self -motivated, good time management skill, ability to multitask and excellent analytical skills

  • Typical Physical Demands:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator

  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Travel

  • Up to 90% travel could be expected in this position
